Just wondering who is "THINKING" of going to Shannonville's May 27th Dragnight/meet weekend (or even just the 1 night)? I know nothing ever works out as planned, that's why I'm only asking who is THINKING, not who is definetly going. It's easier that way.

I am definitely going! Staying over as well. Part of the fun is the Bench Racing in the hotel/motel parking lot after.

 

I'm still shooting to get the engine done for then. But most likely the car won't be out till June 1.

 

Don't wait until then Dave. Stop working on Paul's car and get that sucker going. Too many guys lined up to run you this year!

 

I haven't touched Pauls car, i got my own stuff to do.

I'm waiting on a block, and some parts for the boring machine. it broke a couple weeks back.

 

Dave, just get the car running for May 27, it's late enough for it - close to June. Take the car down for the breakin. Don't run it if your leary, but try to go for the fun. Should be a great time. Are you at least "thinking" of going?? LOL.

I'm sure glad I don't share this queasiness about going to a drag track! I'd hate to miss a fun weekend with people of common interest (and of course the beer!) It's always amusing to see those that talk about how fast their car is, bail out ...my lofty goal is to break into the 13's with my new cam/intake. Maybe I'll just break!!!

LOL, yeah me too, the big 13/100mph barrier. If I do that as well, I'll be happy.
And Dave, relax, don't be so serious. As I said, just drive your car down for the fun, it'll be a blast. If you feel like running it down the 1/4, run it! If not, don't. But don't miss the weekend just because your leary of the 1/4 right at this time. Your motor will take the cruise there.

 

The motor isn't even started yet, otherwise I wouldn't have a problem.

 

How bout the truck?

 

The truck is out. Not sure I'd bother taking it to Shannonville or not.
