Tires

Can you guys recommend a good new set of tires at a good price, something around the Hamilton Burlington area with install.
Size is 245/45R17.
I was looking at Fuzions ZRi online, or BFG T/As from Costco.

Re: Tires

The Fuzion ZR's are priced reasonable, perform very nicely, and look good (tread/sidewall design). I'dd say go with them if your on a budget and still want a fairly good tire.

Re: Tires

I ran Yokohamas before and loved them. Cheap too. I ran the A520's which is no longer made but they have an AVS ES100 now that I hear good things about.

I'm running Crap year GSD3's now I HATE these tires. Sloppy sidewall the car feels HORRIBLE with these on dont ever buy them

I have KDW 275/40/17 on all four and will buy them again if I don't get the KD version. From what I've heard the KDWS tyres are not so good though.

Re: Tires

Sidewall on the KDW is pretty solid. I find that 38 lbs front and about 35 rear is good for track use. For street I run them around 32 o/wise the car gets beat to snot on the crap roads in TO.

I find the KDW to be a very good compromise tyre for street and track. Very predicatable too and good feel; I can throw the car around on a short track as needed and it's also very comfortable up around 140 mph on the long tracks with fast sweepers.

I found them to be good in the rain when new particularly for a 275 although last time out I lost it during wet conditions on the mosport gp track - managed to keep it off the wall though..lol

Re: Tires

I bought Cooper ZEONs and love them

I wasn't sure what to expect Coopers are not a big name brand like Goodrich. But they work great in everything that summer has to throw at us. What I like best is they are so predictable they stick like glue

my .02 cents (CDN) worth.

Re: Tires

i had the Goodyear Eagle GA`s on my car 235/55/16 don`t know if they make them in the size you want but i loved them.... they were AWSOME tires... but diddn`t like burnouts to much.. but what tire does LOL... but they were 280 a piece when i priced them out... so know i have no name crappy things on the back... they`re horrible... the front sticks like glue because i have the goodyears on the front and the back is like driving on ice, but i needed tires and they were CHEAP.. 114 each brand new installed LOL

Consider switching them around. Having too much grip on the front will make the car prone to oversteer anyway and with loose tyres on the back it will be a lot more oversteer - it could catch you out in a corner or even a lane change on the schitty roads we have around here.
