or Master Performance... whatever they call themselves. They are located in Brampton at Kennedy and Clarence.

I have taken my car to these clowns on three separate occasions and they have screwed up... yup, three times.

Trip 1:

They installed the cross pipe where the y-pipe goes under the oil pan way too low... it was consequently mashed by a raised manhole cover... my fault... so they say.

Trip 2:
I caught the guy dragging my brand new intermediate pipe (a MAC setup with coating) across the shop floor. Guess where it's now rusting? On the same trip he turned the collector flange sideways so that when I hit the gas it would rattle off the passenger side framerail... it took months to find that rattle.

Trip 3:
All he had to do was replace some leaky o-ring gaskets... not a hard job. He managed to break off one of the bolts inside my $650 SLP headers (he had used the impact gun to install them on trip 2 and stripped one).

Last month I was working on the car and noticed a leak at the collector again. I bought 2 new o-rings only to discover that the clown had not learned from his previous mistake and again put the bolts in with an impact gun. This time he manged to strip all the bolts and two more sheared off inside the nuts. SLP press fits the nuts into the flange on the header side. I had to pay another shop $130 ($65 per hour for 2 hours) to remove the nuts and install studs.

When you go to their shop or a car show you will see a sweet Chevelle with a big block and a 1LE that the son owns. These cars have great workmanship... your car will never look like theirs... go somewhere else.

Oh... and as Homer Simpson said when the house was collapsing... "Get outta here... you're not the only guys in town... DOH!"

That's why I went back to them.

I hope you read this one Paul.

Awesome place to get a quality exhaust job done, with excellent workmanship, is BAC Exhaust/Alloy Options in St Catharines. Trust me, it is worth the drive. Here's my webpage with a couple pics of the exhaust. This sytem cost 1400bux plus Muffler, it was 300bux extra for the complete polish. System is lifetime warranty (except for muffler and cat, these are subject to manufaturers warranty)

Check it out guys.....

My Car Page to see a pic of tail pipes installed

Their Website

And I am not advertising for them, I just want others to know, so they can get a quality job done on their F-Body.

I'm really sorry to hear you guys have had problems with MP...I've been there several times with no problems at all. I won't be getting my headers installed there only because I get a discount at another shop. But I have no complaints about there workmanship. I've got my full catback exhaust system and SFC's installed there, plus one oil change and exhaust manifold leak...never any problems.

-Just adding my 2 cents here:

I personally only dealt with them a couple of times in late 1998 and had similar experiences having exhaust installed on an '84 Cutlass. I was quoted on true dual exhaust install- I would supply cats- they got vehicle, pulled everything apart and then said 'oops- made a mistake- price is xxx[roughly double] what was quoted. I then had them install a single, large-pipe (2.5" w/thick tubing) exhaust for only about $50.00 less than what I had been quoted for duals. When I picked up car, it ran terribly (it did not run like this previously)- they said "yep- the cat you supplied is clogged"- well I provided 2 cats and you guys are the 'experts'- why didn't you test/replace/inform me of this before I need to drive away??? Anyways, they welded EVERYTHING in the system together and removal involved cutting pipes. I punched a hole in cat- no change in engine's behavior- turns out that the timing had been adjusted without my knowledge and this was the entire problem (don't know what they were doing with my timing?) Had to pay another shop 1.5 hours to cut out the cat and install another in order to get through emissions in mid-1999.

Not happy with them and would have them itemize everything on paper and then would have to personally supervise the work before letting them near another vehicle of mine.

Anyone around Toronto that does good work with stainless steel and doesn't have a problem leaving cats out of the job (ah yes, sure, this is for an 'off-road only' vehicle...)?

I've heard good things about Noyz Boyz...I personally haven't dealt with them yet, but I know a couple of the people there. I may go there to get my headers installed...that is when ever I buy the headers.
