Fuel Pressure

Hey guys.. have a problem, well 2. I got my AFPR in now... and an Accel fuel pressure guage.. first of all, the guage jumps all over the place... i do not know why... second, when i rev it up, the pressure seems to drop (i say seems, because the guage jumps around soooo much, its hard to tell).. any ideas?

Your guage is jumpintg around because you have air in your lines. I don;t know about a fuel pressure guage, but my mechanical oil pressure guage did the same thing, I had to bleed out the air, just like bleeding brake lines.

Air will not stay in the fuel lines for long, it will eventually purge itself. I responded to your other thread...maybe replace the fuel pump relay?!? It's cheap and easy to do...perhaps worth a shot.

you said you had trouble with it leaking. Well if fuel can leak out, then air could leak in.

yes I am aware of that, only thing is, I do not see a leak anymore since I fixed the original leak (stupid Accel guage had a bent tube on it)

*scratching head* Does it run ok? Or is it a bit hesitant? I'm very thankful that mine when back together with no major hick-ups. And my gauge is rock solid. The only difference is you've got a different AFPR than I do.

What have you tried or replaced so far...anything yet?

The car runs 100% No hesitation what so ever, it has mass throttle response. I am just gonna wait it out and see hat happens
