probably in April
Hey Nathan, I would like to but....
My schedule has turned sour late last week and will be pretty hectic for the rest of March (I will be on the road again). A realistic date for me to get together is around April 6th and a Tim Hortons is fine by me. I'd love to check out trigger's 350 and your custom exhaust too. Do you expect to have your car on the road soon ?
BAD: my car is off the road now (TPI is in pieces). I plan on having it back together before April.
GOOD: when it is back together again I will be heading DIRECTLY to the shop to install some MAC sfc's. We could meet up then -- might find it interesting seeing the SFCs welded in. I am hoping to get the MACs installed the weekend of April 6th.
thx,
RP.

Hey Trigger, Do you know of anyone that does mig welding? The drivers doorskin has let go by the mirror. Someone had tried to weld it before but it let go.The door isn't set right and it rubs on the fender. I'll also have to adjust it, but i have a lack of experience at body work. Any help there would be greatly appreciated.
As for April 6th, I will have to let you know. Keep me updated on any details.

The Highwaymen, good club. My dad was talking to them at Performance World. He was interested in joining with his "83 Capri 5.0L.
No I don't have a picture of the problem. The only thing I can do is have you or whoever look at it.
It is splitting right at the top of the doorskin, where the skin folds over the door frame. It extends down the edge of the door for about 3-4 inches. The paint and body filler has cracked. It was repaired once before, so it seems.I talked to a guy who used to do welding at a truck autobody shop and he said the best way to weld it would be to drill three small holes into the affected area and, using a bar clamp to hold the door together, and then use a mig to spot weld the holes, creating permanent "rivets". I've gotten to the point that I was contemplating just using regular rivets. I don't know if that is a good idea or not.
