Paging Nathan...

Dude, need your advice...I wanna install my MSD coil this Sunday. Any tips or tricks, as the MSD instructions suck a$$. I know you mentioned something about rivets and that they have to be dremeled or drilled out. Is this done while the coil is out of the car?...Or do I have to shave off the rivets to get the coil out in the first place?

I took the old coil out of the car, and I ground down both faces of the rivets down carefully, not to gouge the bracket too much. Then I sprayed the bracket with some Tremclad, I think I had get different bolts to assemble the MSD coil to the bracket, I just went to crappy tire with the coil and bracket and test fitted some bolts with LOCK NUTS.... Anything else, just let me know.

Hmmm...ok sounds not too bad. My coil came with two metal brackets and 6 bolts though. Did yours not come with that?

What about the brackets? It sounds like you keep the existing OEM one.

Yeah... I kept the original one, i think that is why i needed to buy bolts. I didn't use anything MSD supplied. Did you grind off the rivet heads off the old bracket yet?

Roy Foss will be closed on Sunday though so that won't work. But of course you're always welcome to drop by if you're in the area. Anyway, no worries, I'll get it figured out.

i will probably not come up unless Chris reeeeally needs my help, which I doubt... I have some of my own work to do on my car. The spoiler is all done and painted, so I am going to try to buff the hatch, so I can put the spoiler back on, and I want to polish my plenum extension finally

Paul, dude, I meant to give you a call this past weekend but I got tied up with stuff...gotta take ya out for a spin! Probably won't happen this weekend though as the weather's not looking so good. We'll talk though.

Hey IROCKER, I was just checking out your website closer... where is that drive-in that you all went to last year? We have one here, but it has mass potholes, and I don't think the GTA would make it... But I want to hit a drive-in with the GTA this summer.

Does Golden MIle always host a show and shine every year?

The Drive-in we went to is borderline Oakville-Mississauga I believe. Not a bad place to go, but your car will be covered in about an inch of dust when you leave!

GoMi has the S&S every year as far as I know, but it's hosted by the Vette club with an extended invitation to the TFBM club. Just keep watching TFBM.org once in a while for updates on events as some things change through out the year.
