what could be fouling my plugs?
ever since i installed the new engine the #3,6,8 plugs seem to b fouling. the car runs strong but it is annoying. the plugs right next to them run just fine the engine now has 12k miles on it. i get no blue smoke whatso ever. so i dont think it is the valve seals....(heads r new too) is hard to tell if the plug is fouled with oil or gas...the car idles grat and i get 16-18 mpg. i am changing my intake gaskets tommorow just in case there was oil sneaking in through where the intake meets the head. i am running stock 22# injectors at 48 psi i also measured the resistance of the injectors 3,6,8 and it measured with in spec. hmmm any suggestions? thanks Senior Member

HEY - It's nice to see another thirdgenner in New Britain! That makes two others that I know of now
About your plugs fouling up, I'd venture to say you need to have your injectors cleaned and flow matched. The three bad injectors could be puddling up fuel by being dirty, or you can have a leaky injector that dumps fuel all over the cylinder after you let the car sit for a while (is it sometimes tuff to start the car in the morning?). If oil were sneaking into the cylinder, I think you'd see some smoke, even if it was a puff...But my beater car has been puffing smoke for YEARS and 30,000 miles later the plugs are not foul. Good Luck!
