LS1 intake
What's the difference between a Camaro and a Vette LS1 intake?
I just bought a 2000 Camaro intake for $80 complete with
throttle body, injectors and rail.
Did I do good or would a Vette intake be better?
Don't know anything about the LS1.
Also what needs to be done to use it on a 1988 350 engine?

I think the newer ones all use LS6 intakes, but I'm not sure. For what it would take to fit an LS1 intake on a Gen 1 you might as well build a sheetmetal intake or something. Gen3's are pretty much completly different than older sbc's. The spacing for the intake ports are different, along with probably about everything else.

FWIW, around '01 they started putting the LS6 intake on the Camaro. LS6 block too, as if it matters The LS1 heads are like 19 degrees vs. the SBC heads which are 23 degrees I think, so they would not fit a small block.

LS1 heads are like 14 degrees.
What needs to be done to use it on an 88 350... Ummmmmmm... Well considering nobody has done it yet and its not really a feasible idea if you have your head screwed on straight (I dont) its impossible. At a minimum, you would need the heads too, which of course wont bolt up to the SBC (something about the head bolts being in entirely different locations).
