are you running stock stuff in your car as far as the 305 injectors and 305 prom? I am assuming that you are running SD system. Is the GM crate a stock L98 replacement? more details please.

Prom burning will probably be good. Asfor an aftermarket chip, consenous is save you money for prom tuning stuff and D.I.Y.

Trent,

The Computer itself for the lb9 and l98 is exactly the Same. The PROM however is a bit differnt in that the 305 will have a 19# injector constant, the 350 a 22#. ( I belive.. )

If your running all the stock 305 Injection stuff, then You have the stock 19# injectors. No problem here. except maybe the 19# injectors not being enough for the 350, but thats not likely with that mild of a motor.

Could you benifit from PROM Burning ? Of course.

Do you need an aftermarket Chip ? LIke you need a hole in the Head.

For that Goodwrench engine just buy a stock 350 GM Chip from the Dealer for around $70.00.

a Stock 350 PROM will Make you run quite lean, as It will think you have 22# injectors.

the Pocket programmer is only 150$, Tuner cat is about 80$ or Winbin is free, either one will let you modify your chip much more htan some aftermarkt one.

Go to the DIy PROM board, and read TRaxions article Before you ak anymore questions.

you know why it was edited, play nice. Especially when you're off base

No matter what, right now you are in a screwed spot. You don't know what injectors you have, or what PROM you're running.

As for kludges, if you run 22lb injectors with a 305 chip on a 350, you will be 'close' as the injectors are just over 15% bigger than 305 injectors, and the engine is just over 14% larger than the 305. This is a really poor way of doing things.

A 305 chip w/ 19 lb injectors in a 350 will be way lean. A 350 chip w/ 19 lb injectors will also be way lean.

I don't even know where to tell you to start, there are plenty of routes to take, but i have no idea what equipment you have access to and what you even know, or even what is in your engine. At the minimum you need to ID your injectors and PROM, and / or get a scantool on it to see how far off you are right now. Until you know that much you're nowhere.
