TPI 1/8th mile times
Well I've been to the local eight mile now twice. Both times I've been running like 2.35 60' times on average. Its pretty pathetic... but I can't launch this 6-spd for **** at the track. I'm running 9.5's@75mph with the 2.35's. I'm hoping for 9.1's or better with Nittos. What do you guys think??? Moda re on my page... basically: LCA, APHR, AFPR, 255lph, K&N, TES headers, no cat, 3"cutout, flowmaster, T56 & 3.42's, coil, and MSD 6A too name a few. Problem is... this motor has 156k miles on it. I don't think a 9.1 or 14.0 would be bad for this motor. Gotta get that hotcammed 350 done soon!
*What are everyone else's TPI eight times?

dont know yet, still waiting to take my car to the track, i've been beating LT1's so i'm hopeing for some 14.0's, and low 9's in the 1/8th, i saw a couple 305's like mine with a couple less things than i have and they were running 8.8's !! believe me my fingers are crossed and i'm gonna be a happy man if i see those kinda times.. one way or anouther i'm going to get my car in the 8's, either n/a or with NOS, i dont care lol.. - mike

When I get good traction Im in the 8.50s in the 1/8th at 76-77 MPH give or take with just boltons, mild tranny work and sticky tires....

best slip:
0.544 - rt (yes i can be deadly when i'm on)
2.063 - 60'
5.960 - 330'
9.193 - 1/8
75.67 -- mph
12.007 - 1000'
14.380 - 1/4
95.24 -- mph
And not counting my first run my rts averaged 0.600, and all my 60's were 2.0s. I was the only person hooking not on full slicks. Even typical low 13 second cars were seeing taillights till the 1000' mark between their .9 rts and lack of traction. It was a good night
If all goes right i'll be getting slips with the vigilante tomorrow night. Should be interesting to see what i can get with a stock 305 and a 3k stall converter
One things for sure, it's jacked up like a mother and ready to go kill some rustnags!!!
Combo is:
- 305 TPI / 700r4 / 3.23
- Ported plenum
- SLP 1 5/8 headers, coated, dual cats
- Flowmaster cat back w/ improved Y, single outlet 3" 30 series.
- Custom PROM (by me)
- Holley AFPR
- 22lb injectors, flowmatched
- Relocated LT1 MAT, Free Mods
- Accel wires / cap / rotor / shorty plugs - KN filters
- 1LE / JG1 aluminum shaft
- Mobil 1 in the crankcase and rear
- Dunlop SP 5000 tires - 245/50 - 255/50

re
Gees. I'm slow! Guess I need to set my fuel press, change my bad EGR, and get some tires or figure out how to launch this 6-spd and 3.42's! Later guy. Great times!

Update, new times with the vigilante tonight:
1.875 - 60'
5.689 - 330'
8.924 - 1/8
75.64 - mph
11.734 -1000'
14.106 - 1/4
95.37 - mph
Yes, the only change from the previous set of runs was the vigilante converter. She definitely has a 14.0 / 13.999 in her as she sits if i could have had the time to sort out shift points as well as experiment with TCC lock-up . As it was, a lot of bad stuff was going down and i only got 2 runs in. And yes the 60' is real, my first run was a 1.91.
Important to note that i ran that 1.8 60' on REAL street tires, and with a completely stock suspension. Anything is possible if you know how to walk it off the line...

I ought to give you my GTA and see what happens
. But I think you will find it much more challenging to walk it when you add some more ponies. Very nice work Ed
