a question about maf to sd swap

a question about maf to sd swap
i have the sd computer, map sensor,i know you have to chage the knocksensor to a 91 or newer but.....
i would like to know what else do i have to change inorder to make the swap work?
i heard about changing the vss but im not sure.
i would really appreciate if you guys could help me out with this?
im good with electronics but im having a hard time with this.

i have done that already but i am wondering do i have to change any more parts beside what i said

I used this to help me with some things, maybe you already have seen it -

You'll need a 90 - 92 VSS. You'll also have to make sure your speedometer is wired in the right way.
In your car, the VSS goes into a buffer, then out to the ECM and the speedo and cruise control.
On the SD systems, it goes directly into the ECM from the VSS.
Then the out put pin B11 on the ECM gets wired into your speedo and pin C1 goes to the crusie control.
I am just finishing up a V6 to MAF TPI 350 to SD TPI 350 swap myself.
This info is the way I understand it from what I have asked about and researched. I am pretty sure it is correct, but there are others that know quite a bit more than I do.

jay is the vss the part that bolts to the tranny where the speedo cable would normaly go?

all i have to do is look at the pin out diagram form my 89 maf computer to find out with wires come from my speedo and wcich one comes from my vss

that explains the whys and hows, and some of his particular results.. with 1/4 mile track differences from his initial trial.
The SD offeres more tuning potential, and has a faster more powerful computer.
