The cold start valve goes into the lower runner flange on the
drivers side front pair. Kind of between the two center intake
bolts.
You can have a hole machined to mount the cold start valve or
try to drill one yourself. I am going to try and cut one myself when
I get my runners together.
Yep, that's a set that I laid wide open.

No, I think I have too many irons in the fire. Runners, flowbench,
#8 piston shrunk in the Jag, trying to make a new cold air intake
on the Jag, wife, kids, on and on and on. I need to do the flow
bench first so I can port the intake and heads so when I pop the
engine apart for the piston I can put all the ported stuff back on.
I need to reprioritize and put the wife and kids on the back
burner for a while to get this all done.

You can use the runners, but you'll either have to screw with machining the cold start injector crap, or burn a new PROM that eliminates the cold start code. That's the route I've decided to take.

Jim is right. Instead of worrying about the CSI, just get rid of that POS and change PROMs to an 89. Actually, unless you live in a VERY cold climate you can usually get away with not even changing PROMs to eliminate the CSI.
I sure wouldn't go through the trouble of machining runners to accept the CSI. Not only is that asking for a vacuum leak, the CSI itself is notorious for leaking. If you're really intent on keeping the CSI through whatever fear you have, it'd be more cost effective to sell the runners and buy a set that already has teh CSI hole. Of course an 89 PROM would prbably cost less than the difference in price...

Ed, I bought an 88 Vette prom a while back for my car. Are you
saying I could have ordered an 89 prom and done away with my
cold start valve altogether? Are there any VAT issues to deal with.
