M.A.F. and M.A.T.

hello all,
well i've just ported my plenum and i removed the MAT sensor from the plenum...well i thought about replacing it even though there's nothing wrong with it..

well when i got a new one i looked at it, and everything looked the same except the sensor tip which has like 8 air holes!?
and i'm looking at the old one and it is just a solid tip with no
air hole at all...so i'm thinking if this is the correct part
here's the part number from the package for the new one...
it's an AC delco Temp Sender: 1#213-192 the other number
1#25037334....so if anyone knows if this is the correct part please respond to this post..

and then i got a Mass Air Flow sensor, i started cutting out the
heat sinks one by one...after i got to the 3rd one, i started blowing some air into housing trying to get rid of the metal shavings....unfortunatly i think my air gun blew to hard and i broke off the center wire that attaches from one end and goes to the other end
since that part is broken off, i'm thinking that the MAF is not gonna work properly, and therefore i have to replace it
correct?!

I'm not sure about the temperature sensor, my stock one doesn't have any holes in it either.

The MAF is unfortunately ruined if you broke that wire though.

The MAT is fine, there are 2 different styles. One is the open style with the holes, the other is the solid brass one. Both work the same, just look different.

Your MAF is toast.

...............and yet another reason to leave your MAF alone.
