Code 42, how to fix?

My friend ran a code scanner on my car today and it picked up Code 42 and Code 24 (my speedo is not working). How can I fix this? I think this is why my car feels like it has got a miss.

have you checked your base timing to see if your timing is right?

Well first make sure your brown wire is plugged in. If it is then clear your code's by disconnecting your bat. Then check your codes again. As for the 24 that's because your speedo doesn't work. I have the same 2 codes right now, easy fix though.
