Ran at the track today- 5/29

This was at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove,WI (just north of Kenosha) . The temp was between 75-80, low humidity, light winds.

Best 60ft: 1.91 (BFG ZR radial)
Best E/T: 13.71
Best MPH: 98.79

I think with a cooler day, another 1/10 or two faster would have been there.

I am pretty happy with my times!! I haven't even intalled the headers yet. Hopefully, with the headers and some Nitto's, hope to see a 13.40 with STOCK heads and cam.

not bad

You can always trim some fat to lower ET's

Theres plenty of weight to be found in thirdgens that doesn't need to be there.

I ran with the jack & spare out, but had a board (not a box) with two 12" subs and a 5lb amp. The subs and board weigh less than 50lbs, so it's a little ballast for the rear end.

I am looking into a VFN fiberglass '87-92 Formula hood and a fiberglass rear replacement spoiler to save more weight. That's at least 75-100lbs right there!!

I'm shooting for 13.40's with stock heads and cam.

Things left to do before touching heads and cam:

-1.6 roller rockers
-Install SLP 1 3/4 headers
-Frame connectors
-Accel 300+ ingnition
-Chip
-Nitto's
-'Glass hood and spoiler
-A NICE COLD DAY!!

Good times Double D!! Get some more seat time in it and you will get it even faster.

I remember picking up over .5 in my car a few years ago just by learning how to drive it better. Launch better. shift at the right time. etc.

Again, great times. Keep at it!

What brand of converter do you have in there DD? If you really want to shoot for the 12's NA Id think about a Vigilante. Not sure what you have now... maybe it is already.

that's not a bad 1/8 mile time, I run the 1/8 all the time and my best run is a 9.12 at 80 m.p.h. that was with a 2.2 60' time and on my kelly chargers seems like you should be faster than me through the 1/8 though all I have is whats in the sig

Curt,

I have a Continental 10" non-lockuo 2500 stall with a 16,000GVW B&M cooler.

It launches pretty hard now. Next time at the track, I will remove the STB and my two 12" subs in back. That should be another 60 or 70 lbs off the car. With the 'glass hood and spoiler, it should shave at least 100lbs off. I think 150-200lbs off should shave another tenth or two.
