I usually get 22-23 mpg from mostly freeway and a little city driving. Afew months ago on a trip from LA to Vegas I got 26.6 going and 27.7 on the return, pretty good I think.

On the '92 I average 19-20, and 24-25 on the highway.
The '88 would average 16-17 and hit 20-21 on the highway with all its mods.

With my Trick Flow 23* and Mini-Ram set-up I get 15 MPG in town and 23 MPG on the highway. I love getting better gas mileage than a Bran new Ford Explorer with a 4.0!!

I get about 14mpg around town from the 5.0 TPI in my 3600 lb. Monte SS. I built this car to drive hard, and I do. I did hit almost 22 mpg on the highway last summer going to the Monte Carlo Nationals in OH. That was cruising at 65mph with a full trunk, 2 friends in the car, and the AC set on "freeze your *** off". Unloaded, I could probably hit close to 23mpg if I babied it on the highway.

Mess around with your fuel pressure a little. And it wouldn't hurt to take a look at the o2 sensor. Tires and tire pressure make a little difference. Also see if your getting any drag from the brakes. If you have drums make sure they are not adjusted to tight. Basically just make sure your tires are free wheeling. Also wouldn't hurt to pull a spark plug or two to see how they are burning. Few other things to check too, just can't think of them off hand.

If I drive like my mom I get good milage.

If I drive like me I get NO milage.

On weekends when she comes out of storage I will put
$30 to $50 worth of gas through her in two days.

I hate the way my mom drives.

The camaro gets about 19mpg on the highway, and that's with a cam, heads, full exhaust, stock upper TPI, 700R4, and 3.73 gears. I'm hoping to do a little better when I get the T56 installed.

I remember the one time i went on a trip up to San Franisco, my GTA got 255 miles on 11 gallons of gas. Works out to almost 24 mpg. Never that kind of gas mileage since. Gets like 12-14 mpg now in mixed driving (mostly city) and i still can't figure out why. My corvette got about 18-21 mpg on average when it had the stock L98 (putting a new motor in thats slightly un-stock ). It don't matter no more because i have a honda CRX as my daily beater (35 mpg).
