rv cam

i saw a post the other day bout these, and when i got my engine, they guy i got it off of said it had a rv cam in it,he said it was built for torque, the rest of my engine is in my sig.how comes i have just the oposite?i mean it pulls really good, and lays bout 40-50 ft black mark, but its a very thin black mark, and only a single wheel,i mean with what my engine has,and being that it was built for torque,i was just figuring it should be like lighting up the rear tires till it was moving a little,it spins pretty good if i would pop the clutch, but i dont like doing that with my t-5,it has a sd tpi ontop, and should that help give it even more torque,

also another problem i have,i had to take apart the front of my engine,b/ci had to change the timing cover gasket, and when i put it back together, started it up,it was overheating,i have the radiator filled, overflow filled, the radiator lines dont even heat up all that much, but the water pump is moving water,my friend said maybe a air pocket in the block???

You either don't have a limited slip rear or it isn't working. As far as not spinning the tires as much as you think it should, if you are running the stock intake and induction tract, the engine is probably starving for air.

Quite possible that you have a large chunk of air trapped in the engine, if it keeps doing this, remove the thermostat and run the engine a few minutes without it( put the water neck back on of course), this should help purge any air from the block. Just be sure to reinstall the thermostat when done.
