AFPR's, what are good ones?

I wanted to bump up my fuel pressure a bit but I need to get a fuel pressure regulator for my TPI, what is a good affordable AFPR?

Are they hard to install?

and Is it difficult to do?

Try doing a search, hundreds of opinions have already been posted on this matter.

IMHO, the holley can't be beat. Adjustable with no tools, without even looking, or needing to remove anything.

How much is the holley FPR?

How exactly do you raise the fuel pressure any how? I don't know aything about it, I figured since I have a good intake and a sweet exaust I can bump up the fuel pressure.

Haha

So more fuel obviously = better right?

The AFPR is meant for TUNING, not for "See how much fuel I can stuff in that puppy"

Anywho with that aside, the way you adjust is a simple thumb screw, Im sure that summitracing.com has pictures of their offered FPR's. TPiS has pics too, although I dont recommend any of their overpriced paper weight "products"

Did I say I wanted to overflow my engine with Gasoline...... NO!

I was just saying that since I have a good exaust and good intake flow that I would like to "bump up" or "Tune" my air/fuel ratio to compliment them.

p.s. Can someone link me to the Holley FPR? I tried to find it int he summit catalog and Holley site but to no luck.

Chill out hot rod.

Try getting ahold of a scan tool to see how much fuel you do/dont need.

Or take some plug cuts

The Holley hands down, and if not that then the homemade one is the way to go. The Holley unit is a bit more money than the others, but the ease of adjustment is definately worth the extra moola.

There is somewhere I imagine

Its kind of a no brainer, some threads, a bolt, a ball bearing or a quarter and you're done.

Will an adjustable fuel pressure regulator be a good idea on a TPI305 with an otherwise stock fuel system? I have heard and read that by bumping up the fuel pressure just a few psi, it will result in a few extra horses. Is it worth it? I have a good exhaust and intake, just like 5SIZ. Is it goo/bad for the engine? Will it result in added power? What do you guys think? Thanks!

On a 305 TPI with the stock FPR is already set to run rich with the ECM at about 47 PSI . So I don't see what you would gain. My opinion.
