AIR box location change

I need to free up some space on the passenger side of the engine. The AIR pump has a steel pipe that doubles as the mount for the "control" box correct? I don't see any reason why I can't just mount the box on the other side and run the pipe over there. Another idea I had was to move the whole pump to the other side but I don't think that will be possible. Comments people?

Look for an earlier v-belt air pump. Those used a rubber "hose" from the pump to the diverter valve, so you could grab the fitting off the back of the pump and hook it to your air pump.
