Building a 350 TPI
Building a 350 TPI
Hey everyone, I'm starting a build on a 350 TPI for a 90-92 Z28 body, and I was just wanting to know if anyone had any ideas.
I've already picked out some Vortec heads for it, but other than that, its almost wide open. I'm looking to get around 350 hp or more out of it, and im going with a manual tranny.
Not going for a drag car or autocrossing or anything, I just want a fast car.

Sounds like a nice project. Specs, 1/4 mi data, and rear-wheel dyno charts on my 355 TPI are on the link in my signature below. I'm not pulling 350hp at the crank, heads are the big flow constraint.
I'll point out that the LT4-HOT cam I'm running has more duration than Lingenfelter and TPIS recommend for long-tube TPI setups and may be less than optimal.
Good luck, and tell us what you end up with!

Welcome to the crew..
350 hp should be fairly easy with a good cam, some good heads, (240cfm+ flow rating), and a good/ported baseplate.
When I was n/a I was actually pushing closer to 400hp, and my heads/intake wern't even ported.
Just keep in mind, FI stuff costs a lot.
