HP calculators, is this right?
I used a few HP calculators online and they all say based on my trap speed and an estimated race weight of 3650-3700lbs., that I'm making roughly 370 rwhp and 435 HP or so at the flywheel? That sound right?
I used the tgo base curb weight for a 92 Camaro and added in my car's options and added 280lbs. for myself. I subtracted about 50lbs for the alum heads, a little for the headers over manifolds, but added some for the subframes. Even assuming 3650lbs. race weight, at 109.53 MPH they say around 370-375 rwhp?

Ok, I found a calc that using a low-ball 3600 lbs., gave me a 369rwhp estimate. Assuming only a 15% drivetrain loss, that is 435 HP at the crank! It's 450 HP at the crank using an 18% drivetrain loss. Does the massive TQ this engine puts out screw up the HP calcs, or are they accurate b/c they use trap MPH's?

I'd say that the calculators are not gospel... but they give you a general idea/ballpark of where you stand. There are factors it can't take into account, but it is good at giving you an idea.
