On my '89 the coil mounts on the intake, to the left side (facing) the distributor...kinda in the way to access the distributor hold down bolt, to give you an idea.
Not a 100% sure, but the EGR solenoid would be under the plenum. Been too long since I had mine apart to be sure. What the heck, least I'll bump the post up for ya

This ones not real clear, but the best I have for the coil.

The coil is almost behind the transmission dipstick in the pic, just beside the distributor cover plate on the top of the plenum.
Theres a mounting bracket that the coil bolts to, the mounting bracket is held in place by the rear 2 intake bolts on the pass side. They are the bolts that have threads on each end from the hex head, so that another hex nut can be screwed onto the intake bolts.

I have seen mounting plates bolted to the back side of the heads also. There is usually a couple of bolt holes on the back side of the head. If you have the original mounting bracket for the coil, you can put it in a vice and straighten it out some and bolt it to the back of the head.
As far as the EGR, you could bolt it onto the same bracket as the coil with a little work on it. Or you can bolt the EGR solenoid to one of the water neck bolts, using a similar type double ended bolt.

In your first post you said you want everything to look as stock as possible. Yet you have different intake bolts. When i look under a car's hood to figure out how stock it is, i guarantee i wouldn't care how the coil and EGR solenoid were mounted if i could tell straight up that it had non-factory bolts all over it.
Just confused by your logic. IMHO, the stock coil and EGR brackets are complete POS, in the way whenever you want to adjust the timing. Thus i mounted my coil to the firewall, and trimmed the EGR solenoid bracket off and left it floating at the back of the engine. Now i have all the room in the world to swing a dizzy wrench back there. Unless you're making a concourse restoration, i just don't see any point to retaining that junk.
