code 23 & 33

The car runs fine untill the engine gets to the working temp. Then it hardly runs.. I also have a very high idle like 1500 - 2000 rpm when i start the car even though I have adjust the idle to zero.
I get code 23 and 33. I checked the tps and at wot I can only get 3.8 v. I have also checked for vacuum leaks.

The problem started after I wrecked my tranny... The whole car jumped when it happend so I suspect that the engine got a real twist.. maybe some wire cold be broke.. but I havent found anything. The funny thing is some days the cars dont even trow a code and runs fine... Any suggestions guys. I was thinking to buy a new TPS but dont wanna spend money on something that isnīt broke.

I think a tps is only like 12 dollars, not an expensive part. On the other hand you may not have adjusted your minimum air correctly - this results in a different reading at the tps. Set that first with the iac disconnected, then the tps. If you haven't removed your throttle body and completely cleaned all of the passages, that would be a great idea.

If the car runs badly when cold that could point to a bad oxygen sensor and/or a bad coolant temp sensor(the one in the intake manifold). Cleaning your mass air flow sensor isn't a bad idea, although the burnoff should take care of the wire itself.

I forgott to mention that I had adjust the minimum air too, and the throttle body have also been cleaned. The car runs fine when the engine is cold, although sometimes the idle is very high. The strange thing is that the problem comes when the engine gets in working temp. Sometimes the ses light disapear and the car works fine...

You should get over 4 v at WOT check the ref. signal to the TPI it should be 5 v.

Is it 5 v. then your TPS is probably broken...

Is it NOT 5 v. check the ref. signal to the MAF, it should be 5v. Is it 5 v and not 5 v at TPS check ref.wire to TPS. Is it NOT 5 v at MAF, measure the output on the ECM and pray that it is 5 v or else your ECM could be fried........

/N.

I got 3.8 v at Wot and incoming signal to tps is 4 v... Could that indicate that the tps is broken?

You should have 5 v to the TPS check the output from the ECM terminal C14.......

PS. have the engine running when you check voltage at the TPS....
