TPI Computer Question
I am having a problem with reading my codes. I am getting a "veh. not responding" the problem is that its running fine but it did have a incident where it backfired and bucked a few times. I thought it was in limp home mode but it Starts good......runs good.....has power it always did. Could the computer still be bad and the rest go so well.
Thanks for the input

Auto X Ray..........the scanner is working. I used it on my Z71 right after that. I know the ALDL is working because a couple of weeks ago I scanned a code on it then.

That error occurs when your cables are not plugged all the way in, or it is not making good contact at the ALDL. Check your cables again. The Autoxray cable has a habit of not being plugged all the way into the scanner.

Hey I will go out and try it one more time and see what happens. I have a hard time believing the computer in bad since it seems to run so well.

Have you upgraded your AutoXRay to the latest version of the software? I believe there were some issues fixed in the latest release. If you want them, I'll get you the pinouts to hook your AutoXRay to an RS232 port so you can make your own cable and upgrade it yourself (or you could just buy their cable). I just don't know if they're straight cables or if there's any sort of an interface inside it. If it's the former you'll be all set.

JZA...I don't know about the upgrades you are speaking of but I just bought the pro-pack 2 weeks ago. Do you think I am missing something?
Thanks

I got the PC-Link software with my AutoXRay and it has an option to "upgrade" your scanner to the latest version. If you go into the CONFIG button on the XRay there's like a "system info" or something like that that tells you the version that you're running and mine was behind. So I click the button, it goes on the internet, downloads the upgrade, then upgrades my scanner via the PCLink cable. Did the Pro-Pack come with PCLink?
