How hard is it to put in a cam?!?!?!

How hard is it to put a cam in a 1991 z28? Would i have to lift the engine out or can i just do it and keep the engine in the car..I really dont want to pay the enormous amount that shops want to charge to put in a cam, and was just wondering what all it involves (my brother has put in 3 cams in a nova, chevelle, and an el camion) so he can help. Just wondering!

Thanks

if u want a basic idea...buy a haynes manual and read about it...its not easy but not real difficult...without taking the engine out, ull need to remove the grille and radiator...

i dont really know many specifics...ive never done it before althought id like to...basically u have to take apart the intake manifold and take out the radiator-just to get enough room to slide the cam out...if u dont have a haynes manual, get one, even if not to follow it on the cam swap but its a helpful learning tool for some things

pretty much its just gonna be a bitch load of work that will take me several days to do

and at the same time i do the cam swap, i will also be putting on new heads and an LT1 intake....among other things like stall converter, bigger fuel injectors (if needed i dunno) MSD ignition, 1.6 roller rockers.....etc etc....the list goes on!
