i wana make one of thoes so bad, but i would need to relocate the bat. to the trunk. i really dont wana go to that right now.... looks like im just gunna break out the dremmel and start cutting out the air boxes... oh well.. thoes look really good guys..

that set up (the 1 with that K&N right up on the TB) is the stupidist thing someone can do.. there is a guy that goes to my mechanics shop that has it this way.. he wont change it cause "it looks cool" to bad hes sucking is SO much hot air.

I don't see why people even bother with the ducting. Just cutting it all out and putting the filter in lets in more air and I don't see how there could be any disadvantage. Especially if you don't drive it in all weather.

HITHERE did it to my 1987 iroc-z tpi......HITHERE also just bought ahypertech air charger part # 4000.... to put on the throttle body....also HITHERE TORNADO.....helps out HITHERE little as well.....my throttle responce has improved HITHERE good bit RPMs climb HITHERE bit faster....my air delivery almost complete....good luck

As you can see in the above photos the 87- up IROC's/Z28's ( I believe with electric fans) came with these plastic panels to help divert incoming air from the grill into the radiator......

When you set the modified air filter box in place you can see where the connecting tubes have to go

These pics show the modified air filter box with the lower part cut off, and the connecting tube prototype templates......This photo shows just where the Ram Air intake holes need to be cut......

Here you can see the holes that have been cut, I used a Dremel tool to do this and I had to use silicone glue to join the two parts together.....

The first time I got out on the road I immeadiatly felt a HUGE difference in throttle responce on both the low and middle end of the power band, sorry I don't have any dyno sheets to show the actual results...... just take your time and it will run and look great it took me 3 days to finish.... and it was worth every bit of time i put in it..... good luck

are you talkin about the tonado? yes i figured i could give it a shot.... and beleve it or not i was satisfied(SP) with the air box in and the air charger in it helped..... here is a pic of the air charger
