That's the two brackets right?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2400649660
See on the left and right? That's all there really is. Alot more in the V-belt setup, but for the serpentine, that's it I believe.
If you wanted a good looking V-belt setup, there is a reallly good looking one on ebay. If not, you could always get those two brackets chrome dipped or something like that.

You could also try to find the serp. brackets at a junkyard. Some of the late model full size blazers and P/Us have very similar brackets. They are not equiped with the air pump so they just have an idler pulley. Maybe something you want to look into.

The TBI serpentine setup blocks the Throttle Body on TPI.

i'm not using my air conditioning or a.i.r. anymore so i'm looking to clean up the engine bay a bit and i figure some nice new brackets will look good on the old block.
you know, something like what march sells..?

Kandied is DEFINITELY on the right path. If you have removed both the AC and the AIR then why keep the passenger side bracket? It would be nice to have a system that only has power steering and an alternator.
A long time ago (about 6-7 months ago) there was a guy who posted a custom setup. He took the stock driver's side serpentine bracket and chopped the top portion of it off. This left a nice clean lower bracket for the power steering. He then fabricated an adjustable bracket to mount his alternator on the passenger side. It was a very neat and clean setup. I don't remember his username but I do remember that he made a post specifically to show his new setup.
Also - FWIW - I've looked into this A LOT. I couldn't find anything that would work with the stock Serp. setup.

Ok - I was wrong. He didn't make a post specifically about it ... but, here it is!

Jegs or summit have nice alternator and powersteering brackets, that should work. They are adjustable, and should line up with the rest of the system. Just make sure you state weather it is a long or short water pump.
Try summit # sme-2000 for the alternator bracket. It is for a long pump.
or jegs powersteering pump bracket. #655-20165
and alternator bracket. #65520121
Just a starting point and for the record, I have not done the swap, but did some research on it and these look like they will work. I think Jegs or summit also have a different powersteering pump bracket besides the one I posted, but I was in a hurry.

march claims they have something for roughly 550 that includes all aluminum pulleys and the brackets for the power steering and the alternator....moves the alternator to the passenger side.
what do you think of this?

non a/c, non a.i.r. the pulleys and brackets along with water pump and alternator and belts....all you need supply is the power steering pump which you can also purchase for 300 or so. (forget the exact price on the pump)

Your best bet is to go with the summit brackets or the march setup.
of just get a ac and smog pump delete pully for your stock serp. seup. and Have it powdercoated.
You can find used brackets cheap. and then buy the delete pullies from gm. Have em coated and thet look great.
Matter of Fact I just got rid of my Stock Brackets I powdercoated mirror black. and Im picking up another set.

Making your own bracket isn't all that hard...just time consuming. I don't know if this brings any encouragement, but I'm working on an alternator bracket right now for my 86 Corvette accessory setup. I'm replacing the smog pump with a free spinning pulley (taken off a LT1 A/C delete pulley) and moving the alternator out to lower the belt. This will allow clearance for my aluminum LT1 elbow and air intake. All it takes is some metal (Lowes or Home Depot is sufficient), a welder, a grinder, and some creativity. I'll be running a shorter belt with this setup. My original belt was 86" and the new one is going to be 85" or 84". Both belts are available.

I know this is off topic but I need to know where you got that elbow on the TB from the pics. I want to make my own cold air intake and I need something like what you have. Let me know, thanks in advance.
I found this pic on my hardrive. I thought it was an interesting idea, but not sure if it works well. If you don't mind buying an electric w/p it looks kinda cool. You'd still be left with 2 big empty spaces where the a/c comp and air is supposed to be, but maybe that bracket could be cleaned up a little?
TPl383, that's pretty much exactly what i was looking for....
is that yours? do you know what parts or part that is exactly? i would like to do the exact same but again relocate the alternator to the lower half.
lane, i agree with your idea as well accept i don't want to have to depend on an electric pump for a street car....seems to me to many people have problems with that.
thanks for the pictures everyone.....i didn't think something like this would be so difficult. TPI383 do you have any idea what that setup cost roughly?

S10wildside, I like your site and how you're converting to SD and all.
Oh about the brackets, I have seen people use ones from the junkyard, clean them up & either polish them or get them plated. You have to nickle-plate aluminum first, and then it can be gold plated.... that is if you're looking for bling.

I can dig you up some PN#'s. from looking at the picture.
The only diff. bracket is the Alt. one.
The PS Pump bracket is a old 87 serp. style one. and looks like all march pullies.
I was just looking at alt. brackets in my summit catalog. Let me grab it again and find a setup for you.
well when i called march they said they could outfit me a setup to work however they claimed that it would run me roughly 575 and some change for the aluminum pieces. they told me if i were to find a distributor for them i could save some money.
i must say that their products look nice, however their customer service and attitude is terrible..........once i finish this last project i'm through with trying to modify my 3rdgen. these companies really make things more difficult then necessary and gm doesn't help by charging outrageous prices.

If you want nice lookingfactory setup. I can get used brackets for like $75bucks. Just the brackets and tensioner.
order yourself the ac delete pully and smog delete pully and I can powdercoat it all for you.
thanks for the offer........i've got less than three weeks to finish this bad boy so i'm a little uneasy going that route. that and i too have a powder coat setup. i was looking for something more on the aluminum looking side if i was going to do anything at all.
march told me their distributors sell their parts for a signficant discount so i will try to deal with those places i suppose as soon as i find out exactly what part numbers i will need.
i appreciate the input greatly!

The one in summit is 86bucks for just a alt. bracket.

I cant find a PS pump bracket.
unless you go with like I said a old school 87serp. setup. for PS.
and all march pullies.
Looks like that would be the best and cost efective way to go.

never updated this huh....
well i was in a crunch last year so i had to go with march. very expensive...was it worth it? probably not but they do work well after a year of use and look really good.
i used their sbc kit which relocated the alternator to the oposite side which you can see in the picture. they have low mount if you want.
