my friend had that problem with his 99 grand am gt ram air. i just like took out the filter and shook it out - no more bugs.

the recharge kit sounds like a good idea though

put a no bug landing station sign on your front nose

just check the air filters every week then.. empty out the bugs!

I get tons of bugs and dirt in my filters but I did buy the recharge kit. I just shake them out (hit them on the ground ) occasionally, wash them and re-spray them. Other than the air flow advantages, the best thing about the K&Ns is that they are washable/re-useable. You gotta get the recharge kit.

well i plan on using a palm sander for most of it, but when i get to the runners im gonna have some trouble. i want to have the plenium polished in one day, the runners the next, port the plenium the next day, then polish/change the fuel rails, and then put it all back together on the 5th day, that way im only out of a car for 5-6 days depending on things go.

ive seen a post where a person put wire mesh infront of the foglights looked kick a$$.
maybe that will filter out the big bugs
i was thinking about doing it but im not sure how it would effect the Ram air intake

yea i was gonna say try some mesh, or screen in the air path. its not gonna restrict flow anymore than filters
