52mm throttle body

Does anyone have a 52MM TB on a stock engine, and does it make a diffrence, I heard it could slow you down.

IMHO, I think they're a waste unless you're making some serious power. The bottleneck isn't the TB, it's the heads. 383ci LT-1's that we've built are making 400-450 with a stock TB. We were at the dyno and put on a 58 and it made 4 more HP. Whoopie , so on a stock car the gain will be even less. Save your $300 and buy some headers or a cam. My .02.

If you haven't bought it yet and have not done any other mods then don't get it. There are MANY other things you can do that will yield better results for less money (headers, xhaust, cold air/ram air etc).
