lets get this straight

when i put the new 1.94 valves 1.65 what will i need , what will be reusable , do i need to change the pistons, how much will this cost, and will this help in performance, will the car run right

no , my mechanic is going to do it i just want to make sure i get all the facts straight ,, i no i have to put the bigger valves in what else am i suppose to do

Sounds like there are two things you need to do, given a mechanic is going to do it:

1.) Take it to the mechanic.
2.) Pay.

Anyway, you'll need new valves. How much is he charging you? I didn't think 305 heads were all that ecpensive. Why not just buy a set of heads and make even more power.

that is what i vote for, new heads if your mechanic is doing it he has less chance of messing up you heads, and then you have to anyways

I don't think just changing your valve size from 1.84 to 1.94 is really worth the money. Spend a little more money and at least get the heads cleaned up, port/polished and get the bigger valves installed.
