Today was the big day!

After sitting since October in pieces, finally got the TPI put back together today. When I started it, it fired up, but shut off right away. After a couple more times it stayed running, but only by giving it gas. It would also break up while giving it gas. I have a new TPS and IAC, which I didn't adjust because I have no meter. I assume this is the problem, will an improperly adjusted TPS make it do this. I have 25# fuel pressure according to the gauge. I installed a Superram base, SLP runners, ported/siamesed plenum, CAI, airfoil, and TB bypass if this helps. I'm happy it even started, I thought for sure the timing would be messed up after removing dist. I hope it's just the TPS or IAC, don't feel like ripping everything down again. Thanks for any and all help.

Shouldn't your fuel pressure be around 40psi or so??

Maybe I'm wrong.. but that would be my guess

I also put on an AFPR. So maybe I should bump up the pressure?

After I raise the fuel pressure, I'll still have to set the TPS and IAC, right?

Of course. The TPS reading is based off of the IAC setting, so you'll need to set the IAC first.

One more thing. Should I set the pressure with the vacuum tube on or off the AFPR?

OK, here's the latest. I got the fuel pressure to 45#. The car still won't stay running without giving it gas. I can't adjust the IAC if it won't stay running. Should I set the TPS without setting the IAC? Maybe a vacuum leak? No fuel leaks anywhere. I thought I used up all of my @##$$% words putting everything back together. Now I'm finding more. It's going to be nice soon and I just want the car to run! Any ideas or thoughts. I'm open to anything. Does anyone have a drawing or schematic of the emission lines so I can be sure they are right? Thanks.

IAC and TPS settings

Try that.

Are you sure you're setting the IAC correctly?

That's the tech article I used to try to set the IAC, but the car won't stay running so I can't set the idle.

I just got home from work and I'll go see if I can find a vacuum leak or something of the sort. If I find anything I'll let everyone know. If I don't find anything I'll let everyone know. I'll start by plugging lines on TB and work my way back to see if that helps at all.
