Anyone with a 383+700R4+3:73 gears?

Hello everyone, like the topic says, I am wondering if anyone has this combo and is happy with its performance. The main thing being the gear ratio, I currently have a 3:27 axle ratio and am considering upgrading to the 3:73's. Car will be daily driver with weekends at the track.

I have 3.45s and 1st gear is a joke. I'm even considering putting my 2.77s back in since I don't run slicks anyways.

I think it is an excellent set up .
i have the same same set up with a mini ram . your cam will also play an important role in your low end torque.
The combo is great on the street. lotta fun

not a great idea if you are staying with the tuned port intake. I have the same combo but with a 350 instead and the TPI intake and lemme tell you that it runs out of rpm fast. couple that with a high stall converter and my motor is practically worthless with a 1000rpm powerband (3200-4400). I can go thru 3 gears in 5 seconds. good thing I have a HSR and Dart Iron Eagle heads coming in a day or two. Remember -no higher than 3:42s for a LTR setup.

oh yeah

like dude said above, 3.73's and lt runners setup= fugggedaboutit!!!!!

mine topped out so fast i hit second almost after 60ft....... i mean it was topping out severly and i think that it help kill the first motor.. well that and n20 lol......

3.73's are to me perfect for the street, and even better if ya have an od tranny........

Got everyone thing cept the 383. However i'm blown and make gobs of torque. I love the 3.73 ratio setup. With my BFG DR's I launch really really hard. I recommend it

I drive mine everyday, no big deal. 4.10's would be even better. If I ever break these 3.73's, I'll put some in.
