Fastburn Heads on a 350 TPI

I have a chance to pick up some new GMPP fastburn at a really good price and wanted to know if they would work good on a TPI set-up, I know I'll need a intake from Scoggin-Dickey , I was planning on getting the stealth ram and some Pro Aluminum Heads, and run a LT4 hotcam, Does anyone know if Holley will come out with a Vortec Style Stealth Ram? Thanks, Jason

They have 210 cc intake runners and some thing that is too much for a 350. I have them on my 406 and like them.

GM had a motor called the ZZ430. Ever hear of it? Well it was a ZZ4 short block,LT4 hot cam and the Fastburn heads. They claim they made 430 HP and something like 400-420 TQ. I don't Think they are too big for a carb'd 350 but an injected motor might be tougher. The last time I looked the fastburn heads had both vortec and conventional raised port style intake bolt pattern. I don't know if the HSR will accommodate araised port design? Maybe someone else could elaborate on this a little more than myself. Hope this atleast helped some.

Try emailing that doug flynn guy at Holley if you can find an address (He made some posts in the HSR threads) and ask if the HSR has enough meat to be matched to the intake ports on the Fastburns. That would be a sweet combo if so...

The HSR will not cover the intake ports on the Fastburn heads. I have been there and tried that. For now you have to stick with a vortec style intake or the vortec intake base for TPI.

Count my vote out on fastburns, I wasn't impressed with the quality of them, as far as performance if you can keep them from leaking they may run well, but the ones I looked at seriously lacked some quality.

What leaked on the ones you had. Were they bought a year ago or say six months ago as they were revised.
