You're certainly a trusting fellow. What you are describing sounds exactly like what would happen with the injector constant being that far off. And since it acts the same with both chips, if i were in your shoes, i would assume that ed wright sent me the wrong chip, or that something is wrong with it.
Granted there are a lot of other things you can screw up during a cam swap to make it run badly, but if it is specifically blowing lots of black smoke and way rich, i would lean towards the cal being completely wrong. If you had some opther problem it would just get a lot worse with the stock chip IMO.

383 im xperiencing the same problem with my 383 mini ram and 30 lbs svo injectors also have ed wrght prom calibrated for them. I also noticed i have glowing headers at night and high exhaust temps. He told me my problem was in my timing or my compression.
I have had all checked and mechanically im a okay. I believe it is a prom tuning issue

With an aftermarket cam and Those injecotrs, you are really going to have to do more than set the injector constant to 30lbs to get it to work right at idle.
ON a completely stock L98 GTA w/ supercharger, I had to absolutely murder the lower VE tables with those injectors to get it off 108.

I'm just wondering. With a few thousand dollars in go fast goodies, when does it become cost effective to add a cheap laptop and free scanning software so you can actually see what is going on in there?
For much less than the price of a throttle body you could have had a laptop and know exactly what the ECM sees and is doing. Even if you don't want to burn your own chips, if you can't do any datalogging, anything that Ed Wright sends you is still going to be a total WAG.
edit: I just realized you said you got the O2 voltage from a scan tool. So the question becomes, what else do you see on the scan tool? Can you actually drive the car and get it into closed loop? How are the BLMs if so. If it's just a case of running ridiculously rich, as said, probably just a case of the chip being way off. No surprise there, thats why everyone who expects results burns their own.
