Have a little problem with my new 52MM TB...someone help?

Hey Guys, I bought a BBK/Edelbrock 52MM Throttle Body off of ebay about 3 months ago..I polished it and everything, it looks real sharp. THe guy said it would fit my 1991 Z28 Camaro (5.7 L98).....I was going to install it today....everything looked like it was lining up properly...but..the Throttle Cable....it is attached differently....from my stock TB. I beleive the guy sold me a TB off of an 85-88 TPI system...instead of a TB from an 89-92 system. My question is....can I get an 85-88 Throttle Cable so I can use this Throttle Body? Because my exsisting cable (89-92) will not attach to the 52MM TB. If anyone has ANY info....or has done this before...PLEASE let me know! Thanks alot!

Yep, all you need is the late model thirdgen throttle cable. It's a simple swap! I was the opposite of you and had to switch my 91 to the old style cable.

About $20 from the dealer. Don't forget the clip that holds it in place, that's like $0.25 extra

Ya, it's definetly a junkyard or dealor-only part. Have fun!

Actually, Napa Stocks it.

You know what - I have a 92 TB on my 85 and I am currenly using the early model Cable attached to the cruise control Nub on the late style TB

Would you be interested in trading cables ?

Shoot me an Email --> Bort62@speedtoys.com

Could work out for both of us

YOu can get a LOkar TPI throttle cable, it comes with provisions for each the old ( a round ring wiht a hole in the middle) and the new ( a metal cylinder that fits into a hole on the TB). It is braided steel and looks cool, but you have to get their bracket, and then you have to change the Transmission cable too, Its kind of pricey, about 150 for all three, but it looks good after. I did this, I will get a pic and show you
