Splice the two thick ones together (I think dark green and yellow).

Take the top off the relay, it just pops off. Then you'll see a coil of wires and on the end a little switch. All you have to do is wedge a peice of metal in there or pry it closed. Would be a lot easier than splicing the wires and you won't be changing anything permanently..

Re: starter enable relay bypass
I ran the Bypass on my car, it tried to kick over for a few seconds and now it is doing the same thing it did with the Bad starter Relay in place (I.E. wont engage my starter)could I have blown my Starter up by not having a Fuse between the Splice? any word would be helpful. Thank you in Advance

Re: starter enable relay bypass
I have something hanging under my dash that kills my car if disconnected and also wont start if disconnected and it has two grren wire, a yellow and maybe a brow or light purple. on the other end is a looped black wire. My handle is ManzGTA91 and i have a picture of it posted in my profile. Could you take a look and let me know maybe what this thing is?

Re: starter enable relay bypass
Hey guys, I'm trying to find all of the relays for starting and everything to get the car to start with an LS... So I have my left kick panel off and there is a relay in there but is that the starter relay or the starter enable relay? And where is the one that it is not? I know I have to cut and splice the bigger wires together on both of those relays but I am not sure where both of them are exactly... any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Re: starter enable relay bypass
I guess that's why I couldn't find the starter relay. Lol and so after I connect those two wires is it okay to disconnect the VATS module attached to the firewall?

Re: starter enable relay bypass
How do you remove the driver side kick panel? There is one screw holding it on but it does not come off easily. Do you have to remove the lower plastic door strip and the seat belt holder as well?

Re: starter enable relay bypass
Great, now I have the panel off. That screw was covered by the carpeting and I would never have found it otherwise!
Now all I need to know is which of these two items in the photo I uploaded is the starter relay? It doesn't seem to correspond with the other photo posted above.
Items behind kick panel. Is one of them the starter relay?

What you posted here was spot on for my 91 RS. Many thanks for posting that picture. It solved my intermittent starting issue. I even had VATS disabled in my ECM.

Re: starter enable relay bypass
Single Click of Starter...new starter and solenoid, starter relay has been checked and jumped, still same issue. Getting 11+vdc across terminals when ignition switch is energized. everything else seems to checkout...Just put a boost on the battery and she seemed fine...am I over thinking this and it's just a weak battery? thoughts?
