36lbs injectors for 383?
Hi, I'm building a 383 with AFR 190's, and probably the LPE 219 cam. I have a superram, base, runners and plenum and a 58mm TB. Will the 36lbs injectors be too small? I also have the holley 255 lph fuel pump.

I'm sorry....what i meant to ask was if they were going to be too big. They're accel high impedence injectors.

You can get away with smaller! Either way you need a custom PROM. SVO#30 is a nice set of injectors and they are cheap too....
I recently put them on my engine but havent done any "driving" yet but my idle is good now ( after some PROM work...)

Well, i'm picking the injectors up at a good price. I will the the car tuned and new chip burned by Cerra Racing in Illiniois. So i'm not too worried about that. And if not, i have acess to the programs and the tools needed to do it myself. Will the hurt me at all being that big? Or is it kinda like the 58mm Tb and the 52mm Tb.....where you can use the 58...and it won't hurt you...but 52 would have been adequate also. Thanks!

I have no tuning experience when it comes to #36 on a 383 engine so I can give you an answer, but I'm sure someone else will answer. My guess is It will be harder to tune (atleast at idle) with #36, but my guess......

I know this is not the same as your engine, but I have a supercharged 305 TPI and I am running 30LBS injectors in it. The vehicle runs fine, it's all about the PROM.

36s would probably be overkill for a superram engine with that small of a cam. But you shoudl be able to get them to idle OK though if you want room to grow. Idle problems actually tend to happen more in HUGE cam engines, because the idle VE is so bad that the injectors simply cannot supply that little fuel.
