Hey, can i ask ya... how much did you spend on this "kit"... if you spent more then $8, then you overpaid... you could of done it with as little as $2... I used a heater hose coupler, and reused the clamps, and just reversed the hose going into the block. thats the Ghetto way, but you could of just got some hose from a parts store and you could of been done with it. anyway... heres a pic of mine..

When GM designed the TPI system, they ran into the problem of the throttle blades sticking because of cold weather starts. Water would freeze around the blades causing them to stick and sometimes freeze inplace till the car warmed up. Engineers created a path inside the tb so that warm engine coolant could pass through the tb to warm it up. The only problem with that is that now the tb is heated, which in turn heats up the incoming air and hot air aint no good. I did the tb mod, and i noticed a tremendious drop in the temp. of the plenum. Before, a 1hr drive would make the plenum very hot, to where now it is just a little warm, and you can touch it. Now members of this site that live in the coldest depths of Minn. and farther north have done this mod, and have not seen any sticking of the blades. This also serves as a very helpful mod by removing the coolant lines, that alows the removal of the tb to be a little easier. Its a good mod to just do if you just wana do something. Took me about 30mins to do mine, and most of the time i was thinking of a way to fit the two ends together. good luck and have fun with your car.
