Im new to this so bare with me...
I recently purchased a 1990 IROC-Z28 for 4K.
It has 79K with a 5.7TPI 350.
The car already has some mods...
3" Flowmaster cat back
Catco hi-flow cats
Accel cap and rotor
GM 8mm performance wires
Rapidfire plugs
BBK AFPR
K&N air filters
TB air foil
Ported plenum

I was told these cars can run mid 14s and high 13s with some bolt ons?
I was also told that putting in a ECM chip for a Corvette can drop it almost 1.5 seconds?? Is that true?

Your setup right now, assuming it is in good tune and what gears it has, should run very low 14s. An aftermarket chip will help a little (some will disagree) but only about 2-3 tenths at the MOST in the 1/4.
If you plan on doing more mods then I would wait until you need a new chip then burn one for your application.

No, there were wiring differences in the 'Vette ECM's, the chip from a 'Vette won't work in an F body.
