need help, car running really hot, and idling high

i just got through porting my plenum, and hooked it all up, and went riding aroung for about 15 min. getting on it a little to see if i could tell much of a differance. well as i was heading home, the temp gauge was slowly rising from 195ish up to 240ish. the car was idling around 1500-2000 rpms. almost acting like the throttle was stuck or something. i am pretty sure that i hooked everything up right when i put it back on. any ideas.......

if you didn't remove the sensors before cleaning, most likely.

well heres the update............
going to "the zone" to get the codes pulled and the car is almost acting right. when i accelerate the ses light goes off, when i decelerate the ses light comes back on, and so forth. well i get to autozone, and they dont have a diagnostic mach for my car so i dont know what the code is. my temp seems to be okay now, but its still acting a little funny. when i unplugged the iac motor, the car jump up idling like it was before, when i plugged it back up, it went away. could the iac be going bad????? or does the car have to adjust to the plenum being ported????
any more help is appreciated.
