need help before i send my car to a dealer
hey everyone.
i found out that my numbers 2,4,6,8,7 cylinders weren't doing anything. They have spark, new plugs all wires are good, new cap and rotor. So i checked for clicking, and sure enough those injectors don't click. All injector resistance is 16 ohms. They were also cleaned and flow tested. I replaced the ecm still don't click. Why arten't the injectors working?
thanks in advance.

Maybe you can enlighten us as to what problems the car has been having, and what you have checked and replaced, preferably in chronological order.
One thing stands out to me here though as i attempt to process your data. Injectors only click when the engine is running. You're not going to hear them over the sound of a cranking engine. Therefore, the engine runs. However, if you have 5 injectors that 'aren't working or doing anything' then i would have to say that the engine pretty much would not run unless it was possessed.
With that, i am left
2, 4, 6, 8 all share one fuse, 7 is on another. That rules out a cut power wire. All use the same driver in the ECM, that rules out a cut ground. Also rules out the ECM being bad. At least in terms of it's ability to fire injectors.
I'm not even going to bring up the fact that if you had the injectors flowmatched then they must work because how else was the 'flow' - 'matched'?
Like i said, i recommend starting at the beginning.

the story
yah sorry about that i was trying to avoid a long post. so here goes...
Rebuilt short block all new internals except connecting rods.
Bored .030 over. 1989 corvette aluminum cylinder heads with 1.5 ratio roller rockers. Installed the tpi system with the edelbrock baseplate and slp semi-siamesed runners. Hooker headers, catco cat, and flowmaster exhaust. All new tune up parts, basically everything is new in the whole engine except for block, heads, rods, and valve covers.
Got it all together, started right up, instantaneously. It was awesome for about 2 minutes. Heard a huge vacuum leak, ended up being cold start injector wasn't seated properly. Took it all apart fixed the seating of the csi, put it back togethor.
Started up again, ran it for about 5 minutes( ran like crap), then i retrieved the codes. Code 32 and 45 or 44 (the one that means o2 senses a rich condition). Replaced o2 sensor, checked vapor canister, had injectors cleaned and flowed. This fixed the rich condition. Replaced the egr valve, no more code 32.
After taking apart the plenum and runners in order to replace egr valve, bought new gaskets and got it back together. Did not star.
Put a test light at the number 1 injector connector while engine cranking, and got a steady light. Tested injector ohms, all were 16 ohms. Replaced ECM, engine started and ran better.
Felt like it was running on 7 cylinders. Pulled the plug wires from the distributor one by one to see if it was running on 7. Numbers 2,4,6,8, and 7 cylinders did not affect engine at all when I unplugged the boots at the distributor. To eliminate wires i swapped the supposed good ones with a bad one, and it didn't do anything, the same cylinder still wasn't running right and the good cylinder was still good. Swapped a supposed bad plug with a good plug, same thing happened. I've heard that the ignition module has something to do with telling the ecm to fire the injectors, could it be causing my problems?
Since the passenger side cylinders were all bad, i checked the fuse, fuse was fine. Now I'm stuck. Please help, these boards are awesome, thanks guys.

update
hers some info that may help.
im planning on doing a compression test so i took out the spark plugs. these plugs are brand new.
cylinders 1, and 3 plugs were fine and look normal.
cylinder 5 plug major carbon deposits.
cylinder 7, 2, and 4 looked like they never fired.
and cylinders 6, and 8 were covered in gas.
looks like im screwed

Pulling the plug wires is not the way to tell if the injectors aren't firing, with the engine running pull a plug off an injector and see if that makes a difference. Do them one at a time and note ehich ones make it run worse and which do nothing.
If some of the injectors are firing then the ignition module isn't the cause, that is an all or nothing deal, either it sends the ignition pulse to the ECM or it doesn't.
Check your harness too. Pull a connector off an injector and check pin A to ground with key on using a test light, it should light up, next check pin B to ground and it should light up too. Next check pin A to B with the engine cranking, the light should pulse on and off (indicates it is firing).

I just had a weird thought. One of the aftermarket bases, either the edelbrock or accel, i forget, went through a period where the QC was bad and the fuel rail pillars were a little bit short. This led to the injectors getting bound up and they wouldn't fire. This drove a few people completely insane with troubleshooting.
The fix was easy, just stick a couple washers under the rail at the mounts.

well my injectors aren't flooding cuz its not running rich, its actually running a pretty good air:fuel ratio.
however i just foiund out that my summit roller rockers won't fit the centerbolt heads that i have on. I didn't think that the valve covers would fit at all, but i got them on without trouble. But i called summit and the guy was like yah they fit over the rockers, but the rockers will not function properly. I'm going to put the stock stamped rockers on and see what happens, i have a feeling that the valves aren't seating properly with the summit rockers, and im getting compression leakage.
