I have an 89GTA 355,10.9-1 comp,zz9,24lbs,hypertech in-line pump,big mouth,large tube,52mm,jacobs coil,msd.When I WOT i see on my scanner .74 and then climbs to .78, meanwhile knock sensor is bugging out. Is that programmable in the chip? Do I have another problem? Any suggestions?

 

Sounds like it is running VERY lean! Your lucky you haven't melted a piston or two! I believe those numbers should be in the .900 range!

Nearly 11to1 comp and stock 89 PROM?!!! No wonder the knock sensor is going nuts, you've probably got some major detonation hapenning.

Get custom PROM burned on a dyno, hopefully that will solve your problems.

If your car was a 305, be sure to get a 350 knock sensor as they are different.

I thought the knock sensor was the same. Anyway its new from TPIS.

 

numbers on the o2 are from the scanner which is .100 less than actual value.

 

I also get the same WOT 02 readings .780-.830 max
