Yeah the times sucked but it'll get better, I promise! It's all in the tuning (or lack of it), and I'll have before and after track times once it's running right.

Wow, you must have some little electrical gremlin hiding in your engine bay somewhere like you said. I'd check out your distributor and the entire fuel system. Your car should be running at least as fast as your old setup even with the same tune. JMO. How's the low end compared to your 219 setup? I bet you'll miss some of that tq while driving on the street.

Below 3000 rpm the SR/219 has better torque, but I think once I set it up correct it won't be noticable at all.

With the old setup I shifted at 6000. With the new setup shifting at 6400-6500 produced the best et.

once you get that HSR and cam setup tuned correctly youll see a big improvement.you might want to advance or retard the cam timing slightly (DEPENDS FACTORS LIKE, your engines displacement, stroke, cylinder head flow,STALL SPEED,ignition curve, fuel map, AND GEARING) but ive found that 36-38 degrees total ignition in by 3000rpm and 4.11 rear gears with a 3200 stall works extremely well on several corvettes running the HSR
