Need HELP car doesnt want to startup
I start the car and it "starts" like normal, but then when it usually kicks up to about 1k rpms for a sec, it doesnt. It sputters and dies unless I give it some gas to raise the rpms. It started this about a week ago out of the blue. It only starts the correct way about 10% of the time.
If I dont play with the gas(only a little bit, too much and it dies) it will startup fine on the third or fourth try(usually).
And the other day I was driving to my buddies and was on the gas a bit(shifting at like 2900) and it acted like a new truck when they hit 100mph, gas just stoped for half a sec.
5.7 auto
New cap, rotor, plugs, wires, computer(not chip).
Any suggestions?
Brian

the engine has to be about has cold as you can get it
then use something like....soapy water(easier to see bubbles with some soap) or any liquid really that you feel comforatable using
spray it on all your vacuum lines....and start the engine ....and look for air bubbles on the lines....if you want to be really really really **** about it...like if you love your car....do it just a couple of lines at a time so you can really exam them
keep me posted...i'm always willing to throw in my word
