Is this track time good for my mods?
I think its pretty decent, all and any comment welcome.
my next cheap things to do are a msd coil and maybe bump the timing up from stock.
Best time (10/10/03): 60 foot 2.006 1/8 8.951 mph 76.95 1/4 14.025 mph 97.60
Modifications:
Engine Bay area:
K&n filter, tpis air foil, 180 t-stat, a/c delete, a.i.r delete, slp (1 3/4 headers, catback, & no cats), accel (cap, rotor, & 8.8mm wires), ac delco rapidfire plugs, TB bypass.
Suspension:
Spohn (sfc's, lca's, relocation brackets, panhard bar, torque arm, crossmember with front ds loop & prothane tranny mount), tds wonderbar, front sway deleted, rear poly es endlinks & tds greasable sway bar bushings, lakewood drag 70/30 front struts & 50/50 shocks, rear eibach drag launch spring set with passengers air bag (30 psi), front eibach pro-kit spring.
Drivetrain:
JG1 aluminum driveshaft.
Appearance:
Painted/machined 17x9.5 firehawk style w/bfg g-force kdw tires, 91 trans am fog lights.
Other minor mods:
Manual passengers side fan switch.

thats a respectable 1/4 time and mph. set of drag radials would get ya a better 60ft time and put you into the 13's

Get your self some 315 drag radials and try to get that 60' down and 13s should be easy...
You don't necessarily need the 315s but I just got a pair and they just look scary out back...

do you spin off the line?
if you don't spin you don't need drag radials no matter what people say. if you do spin then drag radials will help.

yes i spin, first gear is no no in wot from a line, i actually spun first threw middle of second almost my first run, but i think i had some water on the tires, its hard to get around the water box at this track.
i hook pretty good on the street but still spin, so i need to save some money for some drag radials i think.

nice run time doesnt look to shabby i ran a 13.9 with my mods(minus servo, shift kit, thermo, and regulator) but generally i run in the 14.0 to 14.3 depending on condition at the "local strip" wink wink
