Help
Is there any chance that I could get some pictures of the EGR Valve, I have no idea what I'm looking for. That would be greatly appreciated.

It's a bronze-looking flying saucer. That's the best way to describe it, it's hard to miss. You can see it by looking past the runners and under the plenum.

I bought a cheap wrench and bent it in a vise. It made removal MUCH easier. The same tool also works wonders for getting the TV cable bolt on and off of the transmission.

I did the same thing as JIM85. I beleive its a 3/8in wrench. Get one about 6ins long and bend it close to the end. The passenger side wont be much to it but they will be pretty hard to break loose. But why are you taking it out?
What temp switch are you talking about jackman?

its a lil thing that threads into the base of the valve...all that happens is that theres a little peice of bi-metallic metal(i think thats the name of it..lol...failin chemistry:lala: )...that bends and touchs the inside of the switch when its heated. so this makes a ground connection which the computer senses and does something. and as the tempature goes down it ungrounds and the computer stops doin w/e it does. i don't know EXACTLY how it works but thats the basic jist. the tempature raise's and lowers because the exhaust gas's are run over the switch.
