Edelbrock Intake & SLP Runner combo

Hello everyone.

I have posted messages asking what people think about the Edelbrock TPI intake and, for the most part, the response has been positive. Due to the fact that the Edelbrock matching runners are about $325+, would the SLP Runners work well with the Edelbrock TPI intake (or would the stock runners work better/just as well)?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Anything better than stock. The SLPs can be used. Just like the edelbrocks, they'll need some cleaning up for good results. THe SLPs can also be siamesed BIGTIME to replicate close to an LS1 style runner.

i was never happy with my slp edelbrock combo at all. i had them on for only 4 months before selling them and getting a HSR

i seen only a 30 HP gain on the dyno AND i also added a set of headers/ cam / high flow cat/ cat back flowmaster at the same time as the slp/ edebrock.

now with just the slp/ edelbrock gone and the HSR on. i picked up 4 mph in the 1/4. over the old set up. dyno # still to come

One example with bad results should not deter you if you want to stay TPI style. Many many people on these boards have achieved fantastic numbers with aftermarket TPI components and proven cam/head combos. Check it out, you'll find a variety of combos.

I'm running both of those parts. They work fine together. Must have been something wrong with trigger's car to have such terrible results. With the rest of the engine modified, you'll probably see 20hp easily at high rpms. If you're just putting it on a stock engine you won't see that much gain.
