HELP! car has a stalling problem
ok this is long and i apologize..........i have a '88 iroc-z 305 (tpi) automatic.....well my problem has been going on for quite some time, and it hasnt got any worse and it hasnt got any better.......
when i go over 45 mph, and then go to slow down my car will stall out, its not all the time.....some days it doesnt do it at all and then other days its everytime i slow down, if it doesnt stall then it'll act like it wants to stall, the rpms drop down to -0- and u'll hear a VROOM and everything is fine (the rpms go back up)....i was told it was a vacuum leak, so i looked for one....and couldnt find one, but after we were done sprayin the hose's down, i reved the engine and it bogged and wouldnt go past 2000 rpms, then i shut the car off......went inside for about 20 minutes.....came back out to go to the store and she didnt give me any problems. heres the list of stuff that i have recently replaced:
fuel pump, pcv valve, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap, ignition coil and module, oil filter and new oil last weekend, alternator, battery, oxygen sensor, air filters were also replaced last weekend, radiator, water pump, thermostat
i cant really say that i've lost power cuz since i've had the car i've had to replace stuff that was causing my car not to run or something along them lines........if someone could please please please please please help me i'd really appricate it!

thats what i was thinking (fuel injectors) im gonna check the IAC tomorrow, if its not that then i think im gonna replace the fuel injectors, even if its not the problem...at least i know they are new.
Try to make certain that you find a good deal on them. I found them for $150 for 24 lb/hr Ford SVO on ebay. Summit racing sells 19 lb/hr for your 305 for $210. They are a stock replacement and you won't even need a custom chip! I dont know what to tell you or where to look if you're looking for something to flow higher. They are at

Although they say Mustang, they are usable in Camaros. I personally use the 24 lb/hr myself. They work greatly! They are the best bang for your buck brand new, although SLP sells 25 lb/hr for $100, these might be too much for your application.
If you look around, others have experience on the same path I chose as well. Good luck
