Air foil-really work?

Is an air foil worth $50, or would the money be better saved and spent on something else?

not really worth it. Spend the 50 and get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

Don't buy a TPiS airfoil - they're the most expensive. You can get a new one for less from a different company, and you can get a used one off ebay (many of them). Yes an airfoil will yield a stock L98 or LB9 about 1 hp throughout the powerband. It will yield more the more mods you have.

I was watching horsepower tv on TNN and they were talking about bolt on mods and had a chassis dyno on hand. Not to say they dont work but they tried one before and after a dyno and it yielded 0 hp at every rpm range.

Thats a good review, but you have to understand that LT1's and TPI are 2 very different types of EFI intake set ups. Im sure it holds up true, but honestly the air foil for 50 bucks... not worth it.

I bought the TPIS Air Foil... promised 11hp. Although I don't have a dyno, I could tell NO DIFFERENCE between before and after installation.

Maybe if you did a list of mods to your motor, this would help?
But on a stock TPI, it turned out to be a disappointment and a waste of money.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for input. My motor is stock and I was looking small things to begin improving on it till more money is available.

well for starters if you have tpi, pick up a set of KN filters, gut the airbox underneath the filters, and open up your plenum a little bit just to start things off. Then next work on the exhaust since they're so crappy on our cars.

anything that can increase airflow to a motor will gain HP, now is an airfoil worth that price? no, but for $15 off ebay it is, and you can make your won out of epoxy.

I'm sure the stock TB can already outflow the runners so it's a moot point.
