$3600 to spend

Alright well i posted this here because most of it i want to spend on the engine. I'm going to get it painted, probably just a macco or other innexpensive job, the body is straight, need to replace the left front fender due to rust, i will prep the car myself, and i already have a harwood 4" cowl. So im hoping to get away with about $1000 on the body. I'm looking at TFS 23* heads CNC ported for like $1400 if i recall, a cam im still researching, im giving that $300 or so, im thinking 1.6 roller rockers, but not sure what will fit my car, need to research still. But from what i've seen they're going to run me about $200-300 so i'll figure $300. Now that is about $3k plus misc stuff probably takes care of my budget. Is this money wisely spent? The car is an '89 Iroc with 88k, headers, cat, exhaust, afpr, underdrives, upgraded ignition stuff, and all the free crap. Ran a best of 14.015@98.22 in may. Im hoping to get low 13's on street tires. thanks for any input/suggestions/changes, whatever you can

Josh

You'll make more power if you go with vortec heads ($450.00), vortec intake ($400.00) , nice cam ($250.00), roller rockers ($300.00)

There's your 1,400.00 right there, only making WAY more power!

I was thinking vortecs for awhile but after reading a lot on here it seemed that it cost a lot of money to set them up to take the lift of a high lift cam and 1.6 rr's. i thought, i may have forgot, but thought they only took like .4something max lift

i like afr's but how muhc more would they be? im having trouble finding a price, i'd rather ar's or tfs because i want to put a stealth ram on it one day in the future, distant future probably but i still wan the rpm potential over the vortecs

alright, thanks guys, i really don't want to go the vortec route becuase i want to upgrade to stealth ram later, son i dont' want to blow $400 on a base to toss it later. If im going to spend money it's going to be in the heads, i want them to be perfect. Do i need those "narrow bodied" rockers for my car? that kind of confused me. Well thanks for the replies please keep them coming
